Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how JUMI Ltd ("JUMI", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the JUMI Colour Generator (the "Tool"), available at jumicolourgenerator.com.
JUMI Ltd, a company based in the United Kingdom, is the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law. You can contact us at hello@jumi.uk.
JUMI Ltd offers other products and services in addition to the Tool. This Policy covers only the JUMI Colour Generator; any other JUMI product you use may be governed by its own separate privacy policy.
Summary
The JUMI Colour Generator is a free, client-side tool. We do not require accounts, and we do not collect or transmit the palettes or gradients you create. Everything you make runs entirely in your browser.
Information we process
- Saved palettes. Palettes you save are stored only in your browser's
localStorage(under the keyjumi_saved). They never leave your device and are not sent to us. - Usage & analytics. With your consent, we may use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate, anonymous usage of the Tool. This does not identify you personally.
- Advertising. We intend to display advertising on this site through Google AdSense. AdSense is not yet active — this section will be updated, and the cookie banner refreshed, once our AdSense account is approved and live. Once active, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies on your device to select and measure ads, which may involve processing your IP address and information about your device and browsing behaviour on this site. Please refer to Google's how Google uses information from sites that use our services page for details, and use your browser settings, our cookie settings link, or Google's Ad Centre to manage preferences.
International transfers
Where we use services provided by Google (such as Analytics or, once active, AdSense), some processing may take place on servers outside the UK, including in the United States. Google provides appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can find more detail in Google's own privacy and data transfer documentation.
Cookies & consent
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Non-essential cookies (analytics and, once active, advertising) are switched off until you accept them via our cookie banner, in line with UK PECR and the UK GDPR. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.
- Essential / functional. Saved palettes are kept in your browser's
localStoragebecause you asked the Tool to save them. This is first-party functional storage, not tracking, and is required for that feature to work — so it is not subject to consent. - Analytics. With your consent, Google Analytics (GA4) helps us understand aggregate, anonymous usage. We use Google Consent Mode v2, so no analytics cookies are set until you accept.
- Advertising. Google AdSense is not yet active on this site. Once it is, advertising cookies will only be set with your consent, and this Policy and our cookie banner will be updated accordingly.
You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Your rights & choices
Under UK data protection law you have rights including access to, correction of, and erasure of your personal data, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Because the Tool itself does not collect personal data through its core features, these rights are most relevant to analytics and advertising cookies. You can clear saved palettes at any time by removing them in the Tool or clearing your browser storage, and you can manage analytics and advertising cookies at any time via the Cookie settings link, your browser settings, or your ad provider's controls.
To exercise any rights or raise a concern, contact us at hello@jumi.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
